Being a good Dad to my daughter Kelley.  My time with my daughter is limited since her mother & I divorced. I strive for the time that Kelley & I do have together to not only be fun but I also do my best to instill proper values in her while we are having that fun together.  It's not an easy task, but the results I am already seeing have been well worth the efforts!

Ham Radio.  Ham radio has been a lifesaver to me over the past few years!  Despite the other challenges in my life, I have consistently been able to count on my friends in the amateur radio community to "be there" regardless of how crazy things have been.  No matter if I'm on the way home from work, driving to see family in Tennessee, or on a business trip in another state, it's rare that I can't find a friend to talk to on the amateur bands!

Automotive Detailing.  While most people hate the idea of even washing their car, I'm the "nut" at the other end of the spectrum who you'll see out there with a toothbrush cleaning the doorjambs on a vehicle.  To me, detailing a vehicle isn't really work as much as it is a great way to unwind and kind of detach from the rest of the world for a while.  I enjoy keeping my own vehicle in top condition both mechanically and so far as appearance is concerned.  While detailing work is not "instant gratification" because of the efforts involved to do things properly, it sure is rewarding to step back when the job is done and see what a difference has been made in a vehicle.
