| Ham radio is a big interest for me. I never really expected to become a ham, but once I found out that the rules were so strict, I got more interested. I liked the idea of the public service aspect of the hobby. Finally, I tested, passed, and signed on. I enjoy the outings and participate whenever possible. Although I am not really active on the air, that much, I do listen and try to keep up with and visit area events. Being in the GCARS club makes me feel very active and warm with the community. |
