My name is Ken Ledford, and I live in Gastonia, NC.  My call sign is AG4EI, and I am an Amateur Extra.  I was originally licensed in 1993 as KE4GTM, (The Great Talking Machine).  I am a member of the ARRL, and belong to several clubs and groups in the area, including G.C.A.R.S., G.A.A.R.C., and Gaston County ARES and Skywarn.  I am the Operations Manager at a small computer repair company in Charlotte, NC and have been involved with computers for about 40 years.  I especially enjoy working 6 meters and HF, and also APRS and other digital modes.  I also enjoy contesting and foxhunting.  I own my own repeater, 444.150, which is located up on Crowders Mountain.  It has a tone of 141.3.  Most of the equipment that I use at home is Icom.  My first HF rig was an Icom 736, which I still own.  I also have an Icom 706 rig.  I have other various 2 meter/440 rigs as well.  Some of my other interests outside of amateur radio include bicyling, NASCAR, and most any other outdoor activity.  I volunteer at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer NC, where I am a certified Brakeman and Conductor.  I enjoy model railroading as well.  I have a 4-year old Chihuahua/Feist at home named Joey.
